The state of trade with the United States

The US trade deficit increased to $42.3 billion in February, the result of more imports and as well as fewer exports, according to official statistics. The total amount of trade (imports plus exports) conducted with the US fell $1.0 billion to $423.2 billion. The US's largest trade surplus in goods was with Hong Kong, which imported $2.9 billion more from the US than it exported, down from $3.9 billion last month. The largest US trade deficit was with China, which declined $7.0 billion to $20.9 billion.
